Saturday, October 3

YesICan   Can we show ourselves the compassion we have for others?

Buddha’s teachings help us to develop compassion for others yet we are often our own worst enemy by being very hard on ourselves. In this class, you will see that it is possible to strive towards the highest goal—enlightenment— with compassion and patience for yourself. In this way, you can develop a steadfast attitude and avoid all discouragement or discontent with yourself.

with a light snack served between 11:00 and 11:45

Saturday October 24

FlowerDeath   Dealing with life’s changes

We never think of ourselves as travellers from one life to the next but rather as permanent residents of this world. The truth is actually otherwise, and facing up to this fact frees us from many of life’s problems and gives a positive and meaningful direction to our life. In this class we will learn how to enrich our own and others’ lives through meditation on mortality.

9:30 am–1:00 pm
with a light snack served between 11:00 and 11:45
General $20
TTP/FP/Monthly cards $5
